Comment Corner (at the end of each post) is where all comments recevied, regardless of date or which post they are associated with, are acknowledged and/or replied to. If you comment on a post that is 3 weeks old, no matter, I am notified of the comment and will address it at 'Comment Corner' in the newest post. This came about after commenting at blogs on which posts seem to be 'abandoned' with comments or questions never being answered. I want you to know I read the comments and appreciate each and every one!

Stop Yer Moanin' For Heavens Sake!

Today, a 'twist' in the new format - trying the replies to the previous post(s) comments at the end of the current post.  Just to keep you on your toes!  In a bit of a rant mood today, thus the title.

Cold, dark and wet - you'd think it was Winter!

Yes, it may very well be cold.  Really cold.  Excruciatingly cold, freezing even.  Damp?  No doubt.  Could even be really, really wet.  Soak through to the bones sort of wet.  Duck weather.  What?  No sunshine?!  You must be joking!  Grey and gloomy you say?  Hmmm..... all indications point to it being Winter.  "Officially" we've got a few days before the first day of Winter, but hey.  For all intense purposes IT IS WINTER.  It's past the middle of December, we are (here) in the northern hemisphere and this is what happens as we say goodbye to September.....October.....November.....  It gets cold - then colder.  It can get damp - then wetter and during it all we are lucky to see the sunshine for more than a couple of hours here and there . . . sometimes only occasionally, sometimes not for days.

This happens, to varying degrees, every year.  Hasn't missed a one yet.  IT'S WINTER!  IT'S COLD, IT'S WET and IT'S DARK.  Stop yer moanin' and GET OVER IT!  If you've nothing better to do, why not check in on an elderly neighbour who may be sat in their lounge right now trying to decide whether to turn on the fire for a bit of heat or buy tomorrow's dinner.

It's Winter, get over it - get on with it!

Thanks for listening ;-)  I've a couple more bubbling up inside at the moment, fed up I am!  Sorry, I will not be able to forewarn when they may burst forth . . . . you read this blog at your own risk!

LizBeth-  You'd be right to keep a few 'bashing' recipes for days when they're emotionally needed.  Works wonders!  lol
